What do you do for a living?
Westender Magazine Editor, distributor, mediator, and tea lady – whatever it takes really!

What does that mean day-to-day?
My day-to-day is changing, as after 18 years of Westender, I now have a full-time employee, which is very exciting. I’m slowly moving out of the editor’s role and more into the business development, networking, sales and marketing roles.
Daily, I onboard new clients, deal with the accounts, chase advertisers copy, chase our writers’ copy, and figure out when the photographer is free for the next shoot. It’s a lot of coordination, really.
What do you love about magazines?
I’ve always loved magazines. The feel of them, the smell of them, the feeling of community and belonging. I loved 17 Magazine growing up and it was my first (of many) subscriptions.
Tell us one thing not many people know about you?
I’m desperate to be “windswept and interesting,” à la Billy Connolly. I’ve recently climbed my first Munro – a Scottish mountain over 3,000 ft – and walked the West Highland Way (never again!).
Where can we connect with you?
Connect with me personally via LinkedIn, or with Westender on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok @WestenderMag. Our website is gorgeous too.
