What do you do for a living?
I am a French award-winning illustrator (FAB Prize 2021). I specialise in editorial, with a passion for maps and architecture, lifestyle and character-based illustration, and illustration for children and young adults, with several published books under my belt. My style is colourful, textured and energetic.
What does that mean day-to-day?
I love my job because my day-to day varies according to the commissions I have. I enjoy the stage of research that helps me connect deeply with a brief before I start my roughs. For my editorial pieces, I work essentially digitally, as it allows me to be quite responsive if there are any changes needed.
Although I work alone, I am a team person and enjoy collaborating with Art Directors as they help me deliver a final piece with the best result. Outside of commissions, I like to experiment with illustration technics and topics so to keep my practice evolving.

What do you love about magazines?
Magazines are like small windows open on different topics. I love to see how Art Directors, illustrators and photographers work together to visually introduce these topics to readers, captivate their attention and pass on messages and all of this before the text being read. Magazines are also a great way for me to keep on learning and keep my finger on the pulse of society.
Tell us one thing not many people know about you?
Before becoming an illustrator, I worked in placemaking, which looks at how to enhance urban environments. I love drawing maps, as it bring together my love for cities and illustration.
