What do you do for a living?
I’m the editor and co-founder of leafie, an online and print magazine that covers cannabis, psychedelics and culture.
What does that mean day-to-day?
Anything and everything! No two days are alike, which is half the fun. A typical day might involve reviewing news headlines around studies into cannabis and psychedelics, reviewing the implications of legislation change. Reviewing pitches and contributions from writers. Editing, writing, or pulling together photos and creative to support articles.
I’m also involved in the commercial side, so I talk to sponsors, advertisers, and other commercial partners. If we’re in a production run for a magazine, it’s all that again turned up to 11.

What do you love about magazines?
I feel like I grew up in a golden era of print, just before the internet disrupted it all. So much of my cultural education as a boy turning into a man came from magazines.
Music, food, fashion and more – standing in front of the sprawling racks at WH Smith was exciting as a teen. Today, I think magazines still offer a level of curation that the infinite scroll can’t.
Plus they’re immersive and tangible. You can put your phone to one side and get lost in print, and that’s something we all need to do more.
Tell us one thing not many people know about you?
My father invented the question mark, or so he says.
