Laura spent the first few years of her freelance career drowning in the noise of online advice, comparing herself to others, and second-guessing her instincts – only to discover that her quiet inner voice had been right all along. In this talk, she shares what it took to stop listening to the noise and start listening to herself – making intentional choices about the work she takes on, the clients she works with, and what success looks like on her terms.

She works with organisations that are protecting things that matter – nature, culture and people – and helps their work get the attention it deserves. Her design philosophy is rooted in the craft of graphic design, sometimes literally: bringing texture and tactility to her work whenever she can.
