Alan McCredie #MyFavouriteMagazine

Photographer Alan McCredie talks about his love of magazines and how, much like Desert Island Discs, he finds it difficult to choose just one – but he has a constant – Nutmeg magazine, the journal-style title focussing on Scottish football and social history. There’s also mention of outdoor lifestyle title Another Escape, and The Beano, which he read as a child and delights his son now.

Kim McAllister #MyFavouriteMagazine

Freelance journalist, writer at Connect Communications and huge magazine enthusiast Kim McAllister has a few favourite titles, but she talks here about why she loves magazines in general- the smell, the covers the tactility, the luxury of reading one. There’s mention of Vision from The Scotsman and Business HQ from HeraldScotland, for which she wrote, as well as Vogue and the title she always picks up, Condé Nast Traveler.

Eric Campbell #MyFavouriteMagazine

Eric Campbell’s favourite magazine is the football title Eight by Eight. Eric’s a big fan of any magazine that can take the subject matter and do it in a different way – hear how Eight by Eight approaches football and makes ‘the magazine the beautiful game deserves’.
