Creative Heroes #2 – Luke Hayman interviews Richard Turley

Imagine you could interview your creative hero – who would it be?

Our Creative Heroes series invites international creative directors to interview their heroes. And for them, in turn, to interview theirs.

Luke Hayman interviews Richard Turley

In the second event in our series, Luke Hayman, Partner at Pentagram, interviewed international creative director Richard Turley.

Richard was art director of G2The Guardian‘s magazine, creative designer of Bloomberg Businessweek and MTV’s first senior vice president of visual storytelling and deputy editorial director.

He went on to be creative director of content and editorial design at Wieden+Kennedy, where he led a redesign of Formula One’s logo and branding. He’s the co-founder of Civilization  magazine, and editorial director of Interview magazine. He’s worked on other publications including MushpitGood Trouble, ‘SUP Magazine and Esquire‘s special edition of the political satire magazine Spy.

As you can see from his picture, Richard has a sense of humour, and a refreshing look at the world and the design industry.
